Kazan icon of the Mother of God is considered one of the miraculous orthodox icons. It is highly worshiped in Russia, where they say that both the faithful and the unfaithful respect it. It is considered the patroness not only of Russia, but also of humanity, peace, justice and health. Throughout history, the Kazan icon has always been mentioned in the most difficult years for Russia, and in peace, this icon is used when blessing newlyweds and new generations. In Provo, between Obrenovac and Šabac, the first church in Serbia dedicated to Our Lady of Kazan is being built. RTS crew visited Provo, filmed the new church and investigated further about the Kazan icon. In literature, various records, and even in certain historical documents, it is most often designated as "the miraculous Kazan icon". The manner in which it appeared is considered a real miracle... Throughout history, there have been documents of numerous events relating solution, victory and peace to the prayers to the Kazan icon. Historical facts say that this icon was taken to the battle line and that even Stalin prayed before it.
