Nina creating new magic
While much of the Eurovision and domestic public is still joyfully singing and humming the well-known verse and the melody of "Čaroban" by Kristina Kovač, which represented Serbia at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest, our magical Nina - now that the Eurovision fever has died down - is diligently and meticulously preparing a surprise within her new professional family - the PGP RTS record company.
Nina, i.e. Danica Radojičić, an urban girl with great vocal abilities, was virtually unknown to the domestic public before winning the national finals with the song "Čaroban" (Magical) written by Kristina Kovač.
Her performance at the Eurovision Song Contest in Düsseldorf, where she secured a 14th place for Serbia in the finals, exposed Nina to public life in the region and made her the darling of the nation as well as a specific icon for the local youth. ESC completely changed her life and she embraced all the changes - dealing quite well with success.
Fame and popularity haven't changed Nina - she still believes she'll become a great pharmacist while building her musical career at the same time.
When the dust raised by her taking part in the Eurovision Song Contest in May 2011 finally settled down in the media, Nina found the time to move on with her studies at the Faculty of Pharmacy.
Still, Nina never spares her splendid vocal talent in the right circumstances. One of her notable appearances was in the outstandingly rated TV special "The Balkans - Remembering Toše" broadcast by Serbian Public Service RTS-1.
Together with representatives of Serbia in the earlier editions of ESC: Marija Šerifović (ESC 2007 winner), Jelena Tomašević (sixth place - ESC 2008 in Belgrade) and the Bosnia and Herzegovina representative Hari Varešanović (third place - ESC 2006 in Athens) Nina appeared in a special program produced to commemorate Toše Proeski (FYR Macedonia representative - fourteenth - ESC 2004) who tragically passed away.
Nina was also a special guest in the exclusive "Mission Eurovision" TV show produced by RTV Slovenia. Singing a duet with Maja Keuc (Slovenian representative - ESC 2011.) Nina charmed the audience again.
She was among the first to congratulate Željko Joksimović for being chosen to represent out country at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest.
"Željko is a great choice for RTS because he is a remarkable songwriter and performer. He has extensive experience and has already achieved very good Eurosong results" - Nina said immediately after Željko Joksimović was nominated Serbian representative in Baku. "I believe he will do great and wish him the best. He is an outstanding singer and composer, which sets him apart from the majority of the participants. I think he is an excellent choice to represent Serbia at the Eurovision contest next year."
The traditional New Year's Concert of the renown RTS "Big Band" recently held in Belgrade under the title "Ladies' Choice", was marked by Nina's vocals and her excellent performance of jazz songs which were conducted by maestro Ivan Ilić.
In cooperation with PGP-RTS - the oldest record and video company in the region - Nina Radojičić is preparing new musical projects for her fans, coordinating this effort with numerous appointments that followed her appearance at the 56th Eurovision Song Contest.
